About Me
I am Ivan, a graphic designer, photographer, and artist from Podgorica, Montenegro.
Even though I graduated in graphic design and photography, I consider myself primarily a visual artist. For me, each project is a new chance to think outside the box and create powerful imagery that profoundly impacts the audience.
Me as a graphic designer
When it comes to this area, I am largely focused on social media - creating content for clients to better advertise their brand. It is an area that is always evolving, therefore I am constantly learning and growing as a professional. Clients enjoy working with me because I deliver their requests and strive to personalize my designs. I tend to stay up to date with the latest trends and features in order to always give out modern and unique content.
Me a photographer
Aesthetic appeal and the story are my main focus. In my opinion, any form of art should have a story behind it, whether that story is explaining the process of creating a specific art form or the message, as well as the emotions the artist wants to portray. I strongly believe that art should have some kind of purpose, which means that artists should communicate any concerns that we encounter on a daily basis in order to keep the viewer informed and aware.

EXPERIENCE
McCann Podgorica, Junior designer, Montenegro
My first move towards professional marketing, client service, and creative thinking. It was a great starting point and an excellent learning experience where I progressed as a graphic designer working on individual and team projects while meeting tight deadlines. Working at a worldwide creative agency like McCann entails collaborating with excellent clients and many internationally-known brands, as well as stepping into all forms of design: social media content, OOH, POS materials, publications, and other PR content, packaging, and overall visual identity.
Gondor production, Head designer, Montenegro
My role as a head designer at this marketing agency included being responsible for creating visuals, digital and print, as well as communicating with clients. I was also the designer for the agency's wholesale (postcards, maps, stickers, etc).
At Gondor, I learned how to be an independent designer as I had significantly more responsibility than in my prior position, and I was in direct interaction with clients.
Triple-M, Graphic designer & photographer, Montenegro.
Currently employed at this marketing agency as head designer. The position is similar to the one I held in Gondor, except that I am in charge of all the digital and print materials and have less direct contact with clients. When I work on a larger project it is usually directly with the agency’s CEO.
My work entails mostly creating content for social media and photography (shooting and editing) and our clients are from the food industry, retail, information technology, etc.
Freelance
In addition to full-time designer, I also work on freelance projects.
I was engaged with clients on short-term projects but I am also collaborating with clients on a long-term basis.
As an example NEST (a coworking space in Podgorica) is my long-term client as a freelance designer where I create posts for their social media, print, and in-house branding.
I'm also the head designer for any events, seminars, and lectures that NEST organizes, as well as the branding of some of the global projects they implement in Montenegro, such as the Climathon event under the international EIT Climate-KIC license, Spoznaj (lectures), Excel course...etc.
Some of my short-term projects were for clients such as:
UNDP, TedX Podgorica, Mreža za mlade Crne Gore, Hotel Resurs, Rum Doodle, Eco Friendly Store, Queer Montenegro, etc.
